None of us ever plans to fail at marriage. The day we stand strong in “I do” our hearts are captivated with promise and beauty and an eternity of somedays. And we haven’t the capacity to imagine anything that could stand in the way of a lifetime of joy and happiness.
But after the gifts have gathered dust in their perfect place and life takes us places we never planned, we can often lose sight of the very thing that once captivated our hearts. Our somedays get quietly tucked away in the midst of trying to hold it all together. And the promise and beauty of that joyous day is diminished by the glaring reality of a marriage breaking in two.
Have you been there?
Are you there now?
Do you feel like it’s up to you alone to put the pieces back together?
Are you lost in protecting your own heart?
Join me over at Deeper Waters, “where healing words meet kindred souls” as I am honored to share a bit of my own journey through a breaking marriage and offer hope and promise that God cares deeply, and He has a plan to fight for you especially when you have no strength left.
Even the most broken places can be restored!
