Capturing Someday: Love’s Glorious Reward
A life-ebbing, flowing, shifting, changing;
Nothing is set in stone.
What the hand holds and clenches tightly loses form,
Yearnings of the heart, longings of the soul become distant and void.
Fleeting dreams and unsung melodies splash against our memories.
In the blinking, time evaporates and Someday knocks,
Examining, measuring our moments and paths.
Doubts arise, and all that could have been pales to the reality of what is.
A life-ebbing, flowing, shifting, settling,
Etching a well worn stone.
Wisdom opens the hands to receive what cannot be grasped-Grace.
The heart yearning is molded and fashioned by faith;
Dreams reshaped are ushered in by One who knows.
His whispering melodies serenade, accompanied by a grand crescendo.
In the releasing, the soul overflows, and Someday smiles,
Captivated and drinking in the heavenly paths.
Mercy soaks the chords of the heart,
Penetrating and filling the reservoir.
A life-ebbing, flowing, shifting, ceasing,
Bearing testimony across an alabaster stone.
Hands, long toiling are embraced by One who sacrificed all;
His soothing brush of peace caresses a heart forgiven.
Unmet dreams lie shadowed in love’s glorious reward.
Victorious anthems soar, stirring the waiting.
In and instant, the soul ascends, and Someday rests,
Fulfilled and basking in a life, richly ordained.
Eternity abides, wrapping the soul,
Cradled and cherished forever.
