Several plants line the window sill of my office, and even though I carefully chose those needing the least amount of attention, I still have to remember to water them regularly and feed them occasionally. About six months ago, a beautiful orchid was gifted to me with instructions to "just leave it alone." Simple enough. However, what seemed like excellent wisdom at the time has failed because my orchid came to me improperly potted. Orchids are air plants, and they need space to breathe.
