Hello friends!
I’m so excited for the big reveal of my new site design this week and I hope you like it! The soft pinks and purples and pops of peach are calming and peaceful to my soul. The beautiful fonts have just enough subtle flourish combined with clean, calm detail.
Oh, and what about those gorgeous lilacs!!
A sweet memory I have from childhood is the tall lilac bushes lining one end of our yard and how they burst with the lavender blooms throughout the spring and summer months. Our swing set was located just in front of them, so to this day, I can vividly remember the sweet scent and sprawling hews.
Did you know lilacs are symbolic of transformation of the soul? They also carry a meaning of confidence and love, so they are a perfect choice for the theme of this blog.
There are three things I am most passionate and intentional about in this life –
♥ motherhood
♥ marriage
♥ building a legacy of hope
I believe God planted these passions deep within my soul long before I was aware. Grown up from ashes and circumstances far beyond my own ability to control. And if you were to know my story you would understand why a legacy of hope is so profoundly impossible apart from this divine and intentional planting.
My passions, like most require more than I ever expected~
♥ a heart open and yielded to transformation
♥ a confidence to press through doubt and regret
♥ a love that penetrates the darkest and most challenging circumstances.
I’ve also come to realize how vital a constant spirit of intention is in nurturing and growing these passions into something meaningful and lasting. And how this intention is empty without the overflowing hand of God sweeping grace across every gap, every harsh word and every selfish act.
God's grace draped over a life is the difference between a life lived and a legacy that lives on Share on X
So this is where I start fresh – a fearless awakening of sorts. After so many years of writing on intention at The Luke 2:52 Project, my focus has been refined and my passion defined. This is where I step out and trust that all of these years of writing and pouring out words has prepared the way for the final ashes to be swept away and the legacy of hope to be sprinkled throughout the coming pages and posts.
Sometimes the final sweeping of ashes comes with the releasing of them. And that releasing makes way for a holy and indescribable beauty.

All of our stories matter because we matter. What we do and how we do it matters. The passions planted deep matter because we are not living for today. We are living for eternity.
And if our stories of yesterday and today can help lead even one to a life of eternal hope and grace tomorrow…what more is there?
And isn’t that the ultimate legacy of hope?
What lasting legacy are you intentionally trying to build?
