I believe deep down everyone wants to create a beautiful legacy. But beautiful legacies don’t just happen on their own; they require consistency, intention, and an abundance of creativity.
For me, creativity is the fertilizer that cultivates intention and consistency in whatever choices I make. I simply can’t thrive without it, and when life speeds by too quickly, it’s usually creativity that suffers first.
Sometimes it’s time to take a step back, disconnect from routine and reconnect with ourselves.
Creativity is the fertilizer that cultivates intention. Share on XSo, for the past 60 days, that’s exactly what I’ve done. Without a plan or an explanation, I completely disconnected…from all social media, including my blog. No emails, no tweets, no pinning, and no posting. I just stopped.. not because I wanted to.
I tried to push through in hopes that the slump I was experiencing would correct itself, but it didn’t. I attempted several quick fixes but each one failed to get me back on track. Too many life changes in such a short time left my creative well dry and my heart of intention parched.
So I took a 2-month sabbatical.
I broke away in order to look at things in a different way.
I chose solitude to help me access creativity.
I created empty space in my mind to invite creativity back into my life.
I purged myself of the pressure of doing for the privilege of being.
In return, I’m finding myself again…slowly. Hope is blossoming, my spirit is finally at peace, creativity is returning as a comfortable companion, and the future is opening up fresh and new.
So, in the spirit of fresh and new, there are some great things coming that I want to share and invite you to be a part of in the coming weeks and months. Of course, the Fresh Market Friday Linkup will resume as a space to share your creative endeavors, and we’ll also select a Featured Fresh Find each week!
But with this amazing community of bloggers, I also want to invite you to enjoy a few new slices of creativity.
