Dearest Paris,
Your grief is Our grief.
Your tears are Our tears.
Your loss is Our loss.
We mourn with you, and we stand with you in this time of deepest sorrow and tragedy. We will stand against evil. We will shine our hearts of compassion toward you to light the path during these days of overwhelming sadness.
In our collective grief, we offer up prayers and echo your cries for help and deliverance from the enemy. And in our tears, we send forth hope across the miles of ocean between us, that your heads might be lifted and your hearts might find comfort and healing.
Hope to remind you that God hears the cries of so many and He will not turn a blind eye against this evil. He is “El Roi”, the God who sees and “El Shama”, the God who hears and listens.
Hope that in the midst of such overwhelming pain, He will strengthen you and carry your burden.
Hope that stands unshakeable, to proclaim the promise of God…
to be your towering rock of safety,
your fortress,
your shelter,
your sanctuary.
Do do not fear. Do not be dismayed. But lift your eyes to the heavens…from where your help comes from.
And hear our voices through the miles of crashing waves…
“Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”
For Paris with love….
For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the LORD. (Psalm 27:5,6)
“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” (Psalm 56:8)
“O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer! From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me. Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! For you have heard my vows, O God. You have given me an inheritance reserved for those who fear your name.” (Psalm 61:1-5)
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”(Isaiah 41:10)
“You are my strength; I wait for you to rescue me, for you, O God, are my place of safety. In his unfailing love, my God will come and help me. He will let me look down in triumph on all my enemies.” (Ps 59:9-10)
“Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4)
