Are you a writer? Then chances are you’ve experienced moments, days and even months of being just plain weary.
“Weary” is the dilemma of every writer at some point.
We pull words from deep places and pour them out, shaping and crafting sentences meant to bring hope and encouragement to our readers. Every moment spent living becomes an opportunity to write. A common thread to connect one soul to another.
Because we want to make a difference…
We strive to lighten another’s burden with fresh insight.
We long to sprinkle joy where there is sorrow.
We yearn to offer strength to the heavy-hearted.
We ache to show the way… to grace and mercy and hope.
We live to plant seeds of encouragement.
And along the journey, sometimes, we find ourselves weary and worn. Hope stretched paper-thin in our own heart leaves us questioning our focus. Our mission. Our voice.

Refreshment will come, but we must keep moving forward. Out of doubting and questioning, and further into our calling. This is our time of holy stretching. When the One who called us does the shaping and crafting. His voice calls us to let go and embrace all of the calling. Even the parched and seemingly empty parts.
Because these are the silent, soul deep places of growth. Where we drink of the well we’ve spent so much time pouring from. When the old and familiar are brushed away to make a way for new and fresh.
If we don't drink from the well, how will we ever show others the way to the Well-Giver? Share on XThis is where, in the silent moments of refreshment, we are reminded that our words do matter, and our voice matters. God whispers assurances that he will use our yielding heart. He promises to take all of our emptied out words and multiply them tenfold.
Until they drip as sweet balm into the heart of just one.
Even if just that one is us~
