How many times in a day, week, or month do you ask, “What if…?” I know that when I start asking “What if…?” I’ve opened up the door to worry, fear, and anxiety. And that’s not a pleasant place to camp out. There is a reason God told us over 300 times in the Bible to “Do not be afraid,” “Fear not,” and “Be anxious for nothing.” He knew we would struggle. We are Made for Brave When Life is Hard
Sometimes life is hard. Pain comes. Grief, betrayal, suffering, and sickness are all a part of living in today's world. Sometimes putting on a brave face and moving forward is the last thing that we want to do. When my boys were young, I left my job at a Fortune 2 company to stay home with them. I left a high paid consultancy, my suits, stimulating adult conversations and corporate lunches behind for diaper changes, snotty noses, endless food prep, and messes. Transitioning from full-time employment outside of the house to being home full-time with babies and toddlers is hard.
